1. I Can't Sleep At Night (LOVE)
This song is adapted from lyrics and chords sketched when I was seventeen, written as a song of feelings of love rather than a song about love!
2. MUSIC Makes Me Free
Music Makes Me Free is a musical autobiography built on a laid back funk groove
3. Don't Forget To Taste Each Mouthful (FOOD)
Starting life as a catchy montuno this corruption of Latin rhythms became a light-hearted tribute to food and drink.
4. Maybe It's Something That I Just Don't See (FAITH)
A slow blues lamenting the stupidity of religious differences causing loss of life, something I feel very strongly about. The last verse questions events in Afghanistan, ("Blind Faith in the US just won't pay..") all in all leaving the choice of blues as an ironic idiom to have delivered my message with!
5. Did You Ever Stop To Think? (WATER)
A tongue in cheek look at a glass of water!
6. That's What NATURE's About
Again tongue in cheek, but also with a serious point to make about our ecological impact on this planet. How long will it be before Nature reacts to our Yin with a Yang!
7. The Infocrap Avalanche (SCIENCE)
Created with the world wide web in mind, this supposed to be the roar of the flood of infomation across the internet. Unfortunately this record can't be appreciated fully on computer speakers!
